British voters carry a huge weight of responsibility when choosing whether or not Britain should stay in the EU. Their decision in the referendum will decide the fate of millions of people over the coming decades. Leave the EU, in the face of high costs to the economy, or play it safe by voting to remain: that is the dilemma. Here, our Dean and four of our economists give their views.

In the EU referendum on 23 June, do you think Britain should vote to remain in the EU or leave? Have your say: Professor Likierman believes Brexit would be a real problem for the UK economy. Depending on the renegotiation terms, if Britain were to leave, the City of London could have fewer business opportunities, making Frankfurt a potentially more attractive location to do deals. Meanwhile, other financial centres could take on several roles that London currently fulfils. This video is the first in a series of interviews with some of our world class faculty. We also speak to leading economists about the likely fallout if Britain exits the EU. Subscribe on YouTube: Follow on Twitter: /lbs

In the EU referendum on 23 June, do you think Britain should vote to remain in the EU or leave? Have your say: Richard Portes explains why the UK will face negative economic consequences if British people vote to leave the EU on 23 June. He adds that the Bank of England may increase interest rates and that we could end up with the worst of all possible worlds – “rising inflation” in the UK. This video is the second in a series of interviews with some of our world class faculty. We speak to London Business School’s Dean, Professor Sir Andrew Likierman, and leading economists Richard Portes, Lucrezia Reichlin, Hélène Rey and Andrew Scott, about the economic consequences for Europe if Britain exits the EU. In the EU referendum on 23 June, do you think Britain should vote to remain in the EU or leave? Have your say: Professor Lucrezia Reichlin explains why Britain’s economy, trade and ability to attract foreign direct investment would suffer if it left the EU. In the EU referendum on 23 June, do you think Britain should vote to remain in the EU or leave? Have your say: Young people entering the job market and blue collar workers may be among the biggest losers if the UK breaks away from the EU. Professor Hélène Rey says Britain would face more competition from low-cost countries such as China, have less influence on world economic affairs and face economic uncertainty. This video is the fourth in a series of interviews with some of our world class faculty. We speak to London Business School’s Dean, Professor Sir Andrew Likierman, and leading economists Richard Portes, Lucrezia Reichlin, Hélène Rey and Andrew Scott, about the economic consequences for Europe if Britain exits the EU. Hélène Rey is Professor of Economics and Academic Director, AQR Asset Management Institute. Subscribe on YouTube: Follow on Twitter: /lbs

In the EU referendum on 23 June, do you think Britain should vote to remain in the EU or leave? Have your say: Britain will have less control over Europe if it is not part of it, according to Professor Andrew Scott. And a vote to leave the EU would lead to a loss of trade and possibly devaluation of the pound. This video is the fifth in a series of interviews with some of our world class faculty. We speak to London Business School’s Dean, Professor Sir Andrew Likierman, and leading economists Richard Portes, Lucrezia Reichlin, Hélène Rey and Andrew Scott, about the economic consequences for Europe if Britain exits the EU.
