The opening five minutes played out entirely on the feet, where Korkmaz threatened with dangerous kicks while Akhyadov countered precisely with hard punches. The even start ultimately went to the latter. The middle round brought truly heart-stopping moments. Korkmaz landed an absolutely clean spinning kick to the head and an early finish hung by a thread. The shaken fighter, however, showed enormous heart, fought his way out of the critical situation and immediately began dishing out heavy shots himself. Although his opponent ramped up brutal pressure even more in the final seconds, Akhyadov survived a true hell inside the cage. The closing portion turned into a pure war full of sharp exchanges. But the more accurate man in the end was Akhyadov.
