Using his size and strength, Pepper backs Mia into the ropes and delivers a shot to the gut rather than a clean break. But an Irish Whip results in Mia ducking Pepper’s attempted blow and delivering a Hurricanrana takedown, followed by a leaping side kick for another near fall. Pepper regains his momentum with a knee lift, then uses the rope, and his shirt, to choke Mia. A straightjacket hold wears down Mia further, and a Sleeper looks like it might be enough to put Mia out for good, but a desperate Chinbreaker stops Pepper and gives Mia a chance. Numerous quick pin attempts prove unsuccessful for Mia, but when one competitor misses a Superkick, the other nails a high-impact maneuver for the decisive 3 count and the win.
