West Ham edged ahead through Tomas Soucek’s header early in the second half, the Czechia international finishing at the near post from Jarrod Bowen’s well-placed corner delivery. Everton were denied what appeared to be a clear penalty-kick for handball just five minutes from time but equalised through a thumping Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall volley moments later.
