On March 30, 2019, the M-1 Challenge 101 international mixed martial arts tournament took place in Almaty. It featured a fight between two heavyweight strikers. Tanner "Bulldozer" Boser (USA), 15-5, will face Zaur Gadzhibabayev (Baku Fighters), 7-2. This was his seventh fight in the M-1 Challenge ranks, and a victory would have made him a contender for a championship fight.
