On December 16, 1995, at the Spectrum in Philadelphia, Iron Mike Tyson faced Buster Mathis Jr. in his second fight since returning from prison. Tyson, known for his devastating power, was looking to continue his comeback with another emphatic Mike Tyson fight victory. Mathis Jr., despite being the underdog, employed a defensive strategy in the highlights, using head movement and clinching to frustrate Tyson early on. He managed to avoid Tyson’s power punches in the opening rounds and landed a few counters of his own. However, Tyson remained patient and began timing Mathis' movements. In the third round, Tyson finally found his opening, delivering a brutal right uppercut followed by a left hook that sent Mathis crashing to the canvas.
