Join this channel to get access to perks: / @cricketmax87 The Christchurch ODI on December 17, 1995 produced one of the most dramatic finishes of the decade, as New Zealand scraped home by one wicket with a single ball to spare in a nerve-shredding chase against Pakistan. After winning the toss, Pakistan posted a competitive 232, an innings shaped decisively by a blistering knock from Inzamam-ul-Haq. Batting with characteristic ease and power, Inzamam struck 80 from 95 balls, dominating the middle overs and neutralising New Zealand’s seam attack. The equation suddenly became desperate. At 221 for nine, New Zealand still required 12 runs, with Morrison joining Gavin Larsen at the crease. Under immense pressure, Wasim’s final over proved decisive — two costly no-balls relieved the tension just enough for Larsen to steer the hosts home, sealing victory with one delivery remaining. Despite ending on the losing side, Inzamam-ul-Haq was deservedly named Man of the Match for his commanding innings, while Morrison’s five-wicket haul and New Zealand’s composure in the final over ensur
