The highlights of the first Rdojo Jacket Wrestling tournament! The rules: No time limit. First to 9 points or Submission wins. fast stand ups. (have to be working for a sub, mount, or back, to get ground time) 1 point for making any part of the opponent's back or hips hit the mat with a takedown. 2 points for staying on top of someone on the ground for 3 seconds (not while in a submission). 3 points for high elevation takedown. 3 points for mount for 3 seconds (can only be scored once per match) 3 points for back for 3 seconds (can only be scored once per match) 1 point escape (getting to feet, after being scored on on the ground) all subs legal. all takedowns legal. Stalling rules: If no one scores in 3 minutes we will start the wrestlers in a jacket clinch with the less passive wrestler picking under or over hook position. once they have over or under on one side, they will have a neutral sleeve grip on the other side. This 'clinch start' will happen every 3 minutes if there is no score. --- The results: The average match length was well below 5 minutes with these rules and the athletes with the most cross-training experince in multiple grappling styles did the best!
