must watch ♥️♥️♥️♥️
It was good in its first five minutes, after that, it just went downhill. Lucas and the girl ( cant remember her name) acting is just so bad that I got distracted. Jenn's acting was good but it got dragged because of these two ppl. Their character was flat and wasnt written well. Jenn got a huge wound on his leg on one scene but it was never shown again, or it was shown but the huge wound is gone. immediately swim as if nothing happened. I like the monster build up but when it was finally revealed, it's so ugly. It's rubber and they made it so obvious the monster got nerfed in my eyes. The fight scene ending sucks. Seriously? She put pointy objects everywhere and defeated the monster just like that? There are lots of plotholes and missing pieces. Like who are they??? The monster is dumb. I dont know if the monster has a crush on the main character that he just doesn't want to kill her or what. The monster got all the chance.

This was a movie I didn't know I wanted until I saw it. I didn't know anything about it when I got the ticket at Sundance and the genre reveal was a pleasant surprise. I'm not saying it's perfect and there are some incoherent scenes, but the Castaway meets Predator concept makes for a great time at the movies and it's a Blumhouse film so I'm expecting for a wide release. p.s. Charlie is really cute!
I was pleasantly surprised by this one here. I'm not usually a fan of monster movies but this one did it right. The lead actress was really good. She held the movie down all by herself. Not to mention she wasn't bad on eyes. Really beautiful woman. Good Script. Great visuals. I really like how they held back on showing the monster till closer to the end. And that black hole in the ocean... Yikes!! Glad blumhouse takes chances on these kinds of films. Congrats to all the cast and crew. Thank you for making an entertaining film.
Worth a watch just for the lead actress being able to carry this off with good style. Defo a talent on the rise here.
Creature-feature wherein neither the feature nor the creature rise to the expectations. There is no proper beginning to the movie. It almost appears that they lost the first 15-20min fotage of the movie and decided to release the movie anyway. The characters of the movie lack depth and as a result begin to bore when they deliver their dialogues. After watching movies like the Alien, Predator, Outlander...the creature in this movie looks like its creators lacked motivation and creativity. Thumbs down.
