Here you have the nWo, at one point, were one of the most popular things in the world of professional wrestling. The nWo, like it or not, was extremely effective in swaying the ratings in favor of WCW. So when Vince McMahon acquired WCW and it's trademarks, the prospect of the nWo coming to the WWF was very exciting, even after WCW had run the faction into the ground.
