This is Apollo Crews’ main roster debut. Crews made his main roster debut in April 2016 against Tyler Breeze on Raw. Crews hit Tyler with the toss powerbomb to win the match in 2 minutes. On Smackdown, he faced Curtis Axel, where Crews won in two minutes. On Raw, Crews beat Adam Rose in 3 minutes. On Main Event, he beat Bo Dallas in two minutes. On Raw, Crews said he will join The Social Outcasts if one of them can beat him but if they can’t, they have to leave him alone forever. He beat Heath Slater in 4 minutes. On Main Event, Crews beat Axel again. Crews had an interview on Raw and Stardust interrupted. Crews called him Cody and Stardust was offended. Crews said his father Dusty Rhodes changed his life by coming up with the name Apollo. Stardust said it would be fitting someone named Apollo wishes to travel through the stars, telling him he’s going to find out the hard way that not even the great Dusty can make him a star. Then they had a match. Crews hit Stardust with the toss powerbomb to win the match. They had a rematch on Smackdown, where Crews won again. On Raw, Crews was in a battle royal for a chance at Kalisto’s US Title. He threw Stardust outside and got eliminated by Sheamus. He beat Viktor on Main Event. He beat Slater on Superstars once again. He beat Stardust on Main Event and beat him on Superstars once again. Then he beat Viktor on Main Event again. On Raw, Sheamus faced Sami Zayn in a Money in the Bank qualifier. Sami hit Sheamus with the Helluva Kick to win the match, and Sheamus was furious. Crews was talking about his own qualifier and how he’s part of the new era. Sheamus attacked him while asking him if he thinks he is better than him and if he can replace him, telling the new era came to the right stop and he will knock him out. Then Crews faced Chris Jericho. Jericho caught Crews with the Codebreaker to win the match.
