If you are looking for an automatic, highly efficient, and easily expandable way to get infinite green dye or bone meal, this is the perfect build for your world. How it Works: The mechanics of this farm rely on basic cactus physics. Cacti cannot grow adjacent to any solid block. By placing fences or walls directly next to where the cactus grows upwards, the farm automatically breaks the top block the exact millisecond it advances. The broken cactus item then falls into a water stream below, which routes all the drops directly into your collection chests without you ever lifting a finger. Why Build This: This farm is completely automatic and very easily expandable. Each layer produces around 40 cacti per hour, meaning the more layers you stack, the more cacti you will get per hour! It features a zero-waste design and requires absolutely zero redstone components, making it incredibly easy to build right at the start of your survival world.
