Both competitors start with collar ties and hand fighting. At 00:30 Green shoots a quick double leg down the center but is unable to to put Red down as he sprawls. Green didn't do much of a set up so reds hands were relatively low allowing him to intercept and disrupt the shot. Green also crashed right up the middle and his head hit his opponents legs, this can cause injury, and also makes it difficult to finish the takedown. Red gets the front headlock and uses it to spin to the back. Note:This is a common scenario and should be trained. Green prevents the back take but red is able to enter into a favorable attacking positon. At 5:13 the ref stops a scramble that was still in play and looking advantageous to Red. On the reset Green got the advantage, even though they restarted in basically the same position. The difference was Red did not have momentum and off balance in his favor and green put his knee down making the position stable. This match continues with both guys having really good moments. Red remained competitive and dangerous the entire match. Green showed patience and fought out of some tight spots into controlling positions. There were techniques attempted constantly, I few highlights were a knee cut pass, head and arm, guillotine, and rear naked chokes. Both of these competitors were well trained and their coaches were giving concise instruction which they were listening too.
