With tremendous fighting spirit, FC Bayern celebrated a thrilling away victory against 1. FSV Mainz 05 on Saturday afternoon. The newly crowned German champions turned a three-goal deficit at halftime into a 4-3 victory in a turbulent match—an emotional win that provides a boost of confidence three days before the first leg of the Champions League semifinal against Paris Saint-Germain. Dominik Kohr’s opening goal (15th minute) came off a corner, before Mainz extended their lead through Paul Nebel (29th) on a counterattack. Shortly before halftime, Sheraldo Becker made it 0-3, before Nicolas Jackson (53rd) pulled one back after the break. Just before the final quarter of an hour, the FCB pulled one back with a dream goal by Michael Olise (73rd minute), before Jamal Musiala (81st) and Harry Kane (83rd) sealed the victory for the FCB.
