Right from the song Cherathukal in the beginning kumbalangi nights captures the beauty of the nights in Kumbalangi. The story revolves around 4 brothers who are totally different from each other and how they get connected to each other when they find themselves in a problem. A brilliant attempt from the team of Dileesh Pothan. Will always stay as one of the best realistic movies made in India. Each and every member of the cast and crew deserves a big appreciation.

Kumbalangi Nights (2019) I don't know where to begin. May be I will start with Fahadh Faasil who never fails to amaze you. This man is something else. Again & again he is proving that he is an exceptional actor 🙏. Fahadh as wicked Shammi was terrific🔥🔥. His ability to change into such mind blowing characters is so brilliant. Trust me you will fall in love with this movie. Each & every character is written beautifully & the story, Cinematography, music, every aspects of this movie is beautiful. The actors takes the script & movie to the next level. Soubin Shahir is one of the finest actor ever. So far his best performance 👏👏. As always its a joy to watch Shane Nigam. He is too good & real 👌. My personal favorite ❤. Also the rest of the cast is equally good 👍. Though it's Madhu C Narayanan's debut film, it's hard to believe. Such a promising talent. We will get these kind of movies once in a while. Don't miss this pure gem 💗. I am definitely seeing this again. 😍

Straight to the point, "What makes this story special?" The answer lies in the fact that over the time human's conscience has started questioning the rights and wrongs of our society. There is no absolute right or wrong in our lifetime here. This law is applicable to every scenario we face in this world. The one consistent thing we shall ensure to have a peaceful lifetime is to make sure we embrace love close to our heart. And this idea makes the story special! Director Madhu C Narayanan is largely successful in displaying this thought at the same time incorporating all the good and not so good elements of our society. The story is soft and light hearted while exploring the emotions of every characters but the BGM plays crucial role in evoking the feeling of viewers. Every character has put their heart out while playing their part especially Soubin Shahir with his acting skills has made eyes wet at many instances. Fahad Fasil once again proves his immense talent with character Shammy who is grey shaded but leaves a strong impression. The cinematography, art direction, location selection and BGM have been accurate. The narrative is new and refreshing which takes time for us to get immersed to their lives almost till end of first half but story turns unkind and leaves us guessing what's up next in second half. The strong point of script is all the character's emotions are well connected to their past and secondly the movie is really funny and unpredictable at times. The only weak point of the movie is that at many instance the audibility falls below par and leaves the audience guessing. Viewer rating: 5/5 Critic point of view: 4/5

Seeing the on screen and off screen names on Kumbalangi Nights, one can expect minimum quality and take tickets without any doubts. Kumbalangi Nights didn't exceed my expectations as my expectations were so high and they delivered exactly what I expected, a well made beautiful movie which we intend to watch it over again and again. Talking about performances, the whole cast did a fantastic job and Soubin Shahir did unbelievably well as his character is tough to crack. Technically, Kumbalangi Night was just brilliant. Shyju Khalid is good as always, Sushin Shyam's music score was excellent, Shyam Pushkaran's story was so fresh and Madhu C Narayan's directorial debut was a masterpiece. Fahadh Faasil did a good job in a small but strong role. Overall, Kumbalangi Nights is a must watch movie which everyone will like.

Madhu Narayanan's Kumbalangi Nights is a visual treat about relationships (basically about what makes a home a home) carved masterfully using an eclectic mix of soothing, romantic music; outstanding cast performance; and overall perceptible storytelling that will tug at your heartstrings to a point where you will be unable to emote any feeling other than joy and which will come out of your body through occasional smiles (and chuckles) even as you marvel at this subtle piece of art that just falls short of being called a masterpiece because of its formulaic approach and the use of some ordinary Malayalam new-wave elements. It was 3 years ago we got maheshinte prathikaram from this same team.I can say one thing this film is superb. All the actors done justice to their role.Shaiju khalid's DOP was amazing through out the whole film.Some shots worth 1 million applause. Coming to the story part we can't even find a single loophole.Revolving around 4 brothers it have love, emotions,all of them. We can't even imagine Fahad in a negative shaded character but he done his best. One main thing is you will never get bored.So go get your yockenow

Good acting, cinematography, locales. So was this about a dysfunctional family, or a love story, a comedy or a thriller? All of above? Or maybe we shouldn't put it in a box and categorise it? The ending was deeply flawed and scenes look so amateurish. Almost silly. The story of the brothers, was superbly depicted and acting all around was definitely above average. But still you come away feeling a quite let down towards the end. Fahad tries his best to do an unconventional role but turns out to be unintentionally funny rather than sinister.
