With the WWF championship on the line, the top stars of the World Wrestling Federation met in the ring on the 19th of January 1992 in what many consider the true “greatest” Royal Rumble of all time. After Ric Flair had got involved in Hulk Hogan’s WWF championship matches at Survivor Series 1991 and This Tuesday in Texas, the WWF championship was vacated. WWF President Jack Tunney announced that the winner of the 1992 Royal Rumble would also become the new undisputed WWF Champion, so there was a lot at stake in the rumble match. Along with Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan, the 1992 Royal Rumble was truly star-studded… the match also featured guys like Roddy Piper, Macho Man Randy Savage, Sid Justice, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, Kerry Von Erich and loads more.
