During a discussion, Rahul Rawat pointed out that Nitish Kumar Reddy may not be giving his full 100% on the field yet because he is still returning from injury and naturally trying to avoid unnecessary risks. According to Rahul, the BCCI's message could be clear: allow Hardik Pandya to become completely fit while India prepares Nitish Kumar Reddy as a backup all-rounder. However, if Hardik misses the 2027 World Cup due to recurring injuries, India's entire team combination could change. Rahul Rawat also suggested that if Hardik is unavailable, Ishan Kishan could become a strong contender for India's World Cup 2027 Playing XI and may even open the batting.
