After Bret Hart cost Randy Savage the WCW World Heavyweight Championship during a Nitro match against Hollywood Hogan, the Macho Man wanted some revenge. Bret Hart said that Randy Savage was always afraid of The Hitman and he would always duck Bret when the two had an oppurtunity to wrestle. At Slamboree 98 Randy Savage vs Bret Hart finally takes place on PPV. Eric Bischoff challenged Vince McMahon to show up at Slamboree for a fight. McMahon has his own dressing room and security team ready if he decides to show up at the WCW Pay Per View. Staff inside the arena are told to look out for Vince, Steve Austin and D-Generation X. The main event of Slamboree is a tag team match.
