In front of massive crowds in Kolkata, South Africa produced a dominant performance to level the series, but the match is best remembered for Mohammad Azharuddin’s breathtaking counterattack and Lance Klusener’s sensational debut. Gary Kirsten starred with twin centuries, becoming only the third South African batter to score hundreds in both innings of a Test match.
