Mexico experienced massive earthquakes on the 7, 19, and 23 of September. These earthquakes paused the booming commerce of the isthmus region of Mexico. The focus of our financial support is women, since they were disproportionately effected by the earthquake. In situations of disaster, the vulnerability of women increases as they lose their home, which is their working space. When households do not have access to services such as water, electricity and food, the burden of domestic labor increases. This is why we are convinced that we must support the role of women in citizen leadership and community resilience. These families need your help! Isaac Delgado performed at the Berklee Performance Center on November 12, 2009, with Berklee College of Music Students. Issac Delgado is a familiar voice to those who follow the musical development in Cuba. Delgado is an artist that assumes challenges and considers music as a vital and inescapable experience. He has studied his roots, identity, history, and culture. During his impressive path, El Chevere de la Salsa has gifted us with the results of his lifetime work—incredibly rich, soulful, beautiful heritage of his musical homage to the land and the people of Cuba.

Known for his smooth vocals and fiery dance moves, Nicaraguan singer-songwriter Luis Enrique- "the Prince of Salsa" is one of Latin music's first pioneers of the romantic "salsa sensual" style. Backed by a large student ensemble, the Grammy and Latin Grammy Award-winning artist performed some of his biggest hits at Berklee College of Music on November 8, 2012. Luis Enrique Meets Berklee is part of Berklee's Signature Music Series and Latin Music and Culture Celebration. Enrique performed his songs with a large student ensemble arranged and conducted by Berklee Contemporary Writing and Production chair, Matthew Nicholl. At Berklee's November 7, 2006, Latin Culture Celebration concert, Cuban bassist and composer Israel "Cachao" López was awarded an honorary doctorate in recognition of his many achievements over the course of his seven-decade career winning him four Latin Grammy's. A group of Berklee students, faculty, and alumni, under the direction of bass professor Oscar Stagnaro, provided the musical backing for an amazing night surveying the music performed by the Cuban bassist.

The great Brazilian singer and songwriter, Rosa Passos, known for keeping alive traditional Brazilian jazz with all of its mystery, rhythm, and romance intact, was the highlight of the eighth Latin Culture Celebration, November 8, 2007. With three Grammy Awards and 16 Latin Grammy Awards, it is no wonder why Alejandro Sanz is a major influence on the student body at Berklee College of Music. On November 6, 2013, Sanz received an honorary doctorate from Berklee and performed with students at the Berklee Performance Center. Alejandro Sanz receives an honorary doctorate from Berklee College of Music and performs "Corazon Partido" with Berklee students in the Berklee Performance Center (BPC). Sanz's new album, La Música No Se Toca, is one of 2013's best-selling albums and he has produced three consecutive No. 1 singles in Spain, Latin America, and the U.S. Sanz has won a total of three Grammy Awards and 16 Latin Grammy Awards, including three Latin Grammy Album of the Year Awards, a distinction no other artist can claim for that category. The concert was presented by the Berklee Mediterranean Music Institute under the artistic direction of renowned producer Javier Limón with Oscar Stagnaro and will be arranged and conducted by Matthew Nicholl.
