BINGO, in my opinion, is a cute movie about a very special friendship between a boy and a dog. I thought that Hal and Natalie (David Rasche and Cindy Williams) were a little cold-hearted, but Chuckie (Robert J. Steinmilller Jr.) was a very sweet kid. Bingo was a sweet dog, though. He even saved Chuckie in times of trouble. Way to go, Bingo! If you ask me, that's one thing that made the bond between them so special. When Bingo was trying to catch up to Chuckie during his cross-country movie, I felt really moved inside. In conclusion, I highly recommend this movie to all you dog lovers or Cindy Williams fans who have not seen it.
Normally I am not much for any movie that features an animal and as a result I avoided watching this movie as long as I could. However, since my grand daughter and my wife watched it over and over for months it was inevitable that I would be exposed to it. What a joy. To my surprise it was a parody, and a clever one at that. Once I realized the film was a spoof and being played for laughs I couldn't stop laughing. The well written script and hilarious sight gags make this fun for adults and children. However, I do have one complaint about the writing. Why was the limited profanity in the script? It adds nothing to the movie and worst of all is not funny. I can't believe that a guy like me who likes "Pulp Fiction" would be making this complaint, but without the needless profanity this is a perfect family movie. Profanity aside "Bingo" is a hoot.
This movie is a great feel-good movie. Bingo the dog is particularly funny. The dog is as good as Lassie or any other acting dog! The dog probably deserves an Oscar! The beginning of the film starts pretty quickly, which is goods as the plot gets going straight away. Bingo the dog keeps you entertained throughout until the middle of the movie when the other characters begin to take affect. It would be funny to see the dog play bingo online or mobile bingo, but alas he just generally does tricks, and acts a bit like a human dog would. This is a great kids movie, particularly for anyone that owns a dog. For anyone that likes to play bingo, then this film is not for you, as it has nobody playing online bingo, mobile bingo - or even going down to their local hall to play. We recommend this Bingo film, as much to see the funny dog as anything!
What's the point in getting away with a film that an imbecile could love? Ever since i first saw this film, i was determined to see it as a sturdy movie that did'nt have bad acting and a weak-arse ending. I Know it's a cliché but i reliably think this film is too much for me to handle, and i agree with it having a 4.1. And When it comes to 'Circus Dogs' i just know that a few severe reviewers could recommend this to lose such an idiotic budget that could make this film forbidden, I Eagerly want this film to be more significant in future. Buy the way, I'm talking uber randomness so i could fit this all in the text-box! BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH!
This movie is a fun and in ways, an over the top animal film that stays out of the box. As far as animal movies go, this one is a little different. It's a little crazy and cartoony but it adds to it's charm. Filled with left side humor and jokes that many kids may not get but will enjoy nevertheless due to the cuteness and charm that comes from Bingo the dog himself. Without spoiling anything its an adventure where the boy and his dog get separated... His dog tries his best to track down his friend with which the movie presents most of it's fun and charm with all the crazy adventures Bingos gets up to along the way. Just have a heart, let down your 'tough guy' guard and rent this movie for a cute adventure and enjoy a fun ride the whole family can enjoy (the language is a little strong for the little ones in a couple of parts though. Its suggest parental guidance if they are under 10.) If you can do that, you and your family will definitely enjoy this movie.
Bingo is a very strange movie. It's not a bad one, but it missed the target because it's not completely a kids animal movie like many others as well as it's not completely a spoof to such movies. And such half-and-half as a rule has very little chances for success. The beginning and the ending of the story are incredibly typical for an animal family flick but all the rest of it is quite different. Well, it was so silly and at the same time so funny. Personally, I laughed many times watching this strange movie (and I'm not a spoof fan), but as in every silly comedy there was nothing especially memorable in this movie. Humor in many ways is typical for a kids friendly movie, though sometimes it becomes a bit crude for such movies. The language also is too strong for a family movie. Overall, I found Bingo funny and enjoyable enough for watching once, but definitely before watching it you should know what kind of movies you are going to watch. My grade 5.6 out of 10. Sorry for my bad English.
"Bingo" is at times comparable to just about every other "boy and his heroic dog" film ever made. Its only problem is that it doesn't do the genre right. There are more absurd moments of Bingo's comic mischief than actual adventure throughout the film. Children under eight years old should really enjoy this but there is a huge chance that anybody older than that might snooze.
With 3 kids (now 16, 13, 11) I have seen a lot of kids movies over the years, this one is pretty funny! Even though my kids are getting older they still enjoy watching this movie, and I do too. The dog is so cute and trained so well that you can't help but root for him. If you haven't watched this one yet, I recommend it for a fun family movie evening. Not only is it funny, it doesn't have all those annoying songs that your kids will sing for weeks on end!
This cur has a better command of the english language than some folks I know. There was no problem he came across that was insurmountable: the pup was a plain canine genius. A kid's film all the way because, although I like smart animal shows, this was just too, too lame for an adult to sit through without some serious squirming.
