Ayu wants to pursue an acting career in Tokyo but only been getting minor roles until one day, she meets Masa, an executive director of the record label A Victory. He decides to make Ayu into a singer.

The main actress that played Ayumi is not that great. I don't know why they made Ayumi's journey so cheesy and annoying. The real Ayumi is a pretty bad girl with some not so pleasant personality (from what Ive read), but that's exactly why she made it to the top. She's a great diva, like mariah carey and madonna. Which would make some juicy and interesting character to watch instead of what we got. This drama is full of disappointment for sure. The opening song did takes me back to the 90s.
