- Believe in your dreams because if you do you too will have the privilege of making your dreams into your reality. - I started Jiu-Jitsu at 12 years old. At age 15 I left home and promised my mother that I would become the best in the world and that through my example I would change the entire legacy of our family's history. - When I got to the blue belt at 18 I fulfilled my promise for the first time. But I wanted more, so at ages 18, 19, 20, 21, and 22 I became number 1 ranked in the world by the most prestigious organization of the sport (IBJJF) in light-feather weight and in pound for pound… - in 2021/2022. I become everything that I dreamed to be in my childhood. - This phase of my life has been the most amazing years of my career so far. With my love, Abbi, I could open my BJJ school. I achieved the honor of being promoted to a black belt from the hands of my mentors, Master Cicero Costha and Master Bruno Bastos, on the IBJJF Worlds podium while being the current number 1 in the world and world champion. - That special day was when I understood why it's important to believe and thank God for everything! Today I am living proof that if God allowed you to dream it, it is because he knows that you are capable of conquering. - If you believe, you can achieve! 👋 We are proud to offer the Rock Hill community the opportunity to learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from Thalys & Abbi Pontes.
