International Boxing Organization (IBO) super middleweight southpaw Osley Iglesias (Cuba) is one of the contenders to fill the vacant IBF title, which was vacated by Terence “Bud” Crawford last week. The IBF has extended invitations to former champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and top-ranked Iglesias. Both are expected to be in fighting condition to replace Crawford. Undefeated Crawford will end Canelo's dominance with a 12-round bout in Las Vegas on September 13, 2025. It would be the most historic victory of Crawford's 38-year-old boxing career. Canelo, who has had a remarkable boxing career, has a win-loss-draw record of 63-3-2 (39 by knockout). He founded Canelo Promotions to compete with himself.
