I came to the theater on Friday wanting to see it because I saw the commercials and thought it looked like a cute movie and I always like Amanda Bynes's movies. When I saw the movie it was better than I thought it was going to be. Its funny with out being stupid or dirty. And it had a clever way of modernly retelling Snow White. If you are in the mood for a good comedy that will leave you smiling, see this movie! The dorks were great and very funny,Amanda Bynes was hilarious as well, the prince was very charming, and Sara Paxton did a fair job also. Sure this movie will never win an Oscar but it a warm-hearted teen comedy that most people will love. This is an excellent modern retelling of Snow White.
this is so cute

The story is not great, but I do find some of the jokes to be funny. I'm socially awkward myself, so that helps me appreciate the jokes. It's a guilty pleasure film.
Sydney White is a movie based around a young girl going to college. Of course there are many many other movies about that. However, this movie has a more heartwarming approach to it and it made me want to continue watching. I liked that fact that she had come from a "tomboyish" background which made her not fit in with the clichéd sorority girls. As this is a modern version of Snow White it is predictable. You instantly know who the "evil queen" is who the "handsome prince" is and who the "innocent, kind girl" is. But hey, that doesn't mean we cant enjoy the movie right? I also liked the fact that the movie wasn't based on her romantic life(as most chick flicks are), it was based on getting through the ups and downs of college. Overall i give this movie a 7/10 and would recommend it to a friend who likes to watch chick flicks (but not to a friend who doesn't like clichéd movies).
Did not expect it to be as good as it was! For a girl who loves pink and star wars like me it was great- really funny! Loved the Battle Star reference-even my partner laughed at that and he is not really into this type of movie but then he sat down and watched the rest with me. This is the kind of movie where at the beginning I would really want to live in the nice house with the girls but by the end I would love to live with the guys in the Vortex! Really wish they had this type of college/living situations here in NZ- Totally recommending this movie to my friends (girls and guys) as it is really great for a clean laugh
I screened this movie first to make sure there wouldn't be any nasty surprises when I watch it with my girls (11 and 13). Usually when I do this I speed through -- this one I actually watched, and laughed. Which is what compelled me to write a review. For parents looking for a fun family film with a nice message that's still relevant and interesting for teens, this is it. It's amusing to find the Snow White elements sprinkled throughout, too. Suspend your disbelief and just enjoy it together. Anyone struggling with middle-school cliques and kids struggling to "Fit In" can take heart from this one.
