After another year of parse ratings and attendance, AEW is staring down a big barrell of uncertainty in the looming Netflix Era for now. So bad, in fact, Tony tried to lie about the attendance for his biggest show and even the Mavericky Texas Government was like nah, homie. Y'all gotta take this L. AEW's biggest show of the year featured what was supposed to be the passing of the torch from superheel Jon Moxley to Great White Hope Hangman Adam Page. I can't say enoguh good things about this particular moment, and what I thought it was going to mean for AEW. But, by the end of the year, Hangman dropped the belt faster than the drop in AEW's business. If you're reading this right now, we're already in the Hangman Trios Era. What? HOW?! This is NOT how AEW drew it up. A lot has been made about Jey Uso being demoted to the tag team division—you know? That tag division that headlined WrestleMania with those same Usos? But this is worse. Hangman's downfall is like if Cody was demoted to the Trios division. Adam Page continues to hang around the main event scene like a cockroach, but I don't think he's getting that belt back any time soon. So what went wrong? How did AEW take its biggest storyline of the year and fumble the coronation? And what does Han
