and that is pretty much all it is. If you are huge fans of Fey or Rudd, and I mean HUGE, you will find this slightly amusing. It wasn't BAD but it wasn't GOOD either. The story is just OK...it doesn't seem like these two should be in a movie like this. They do make the best of the script they got and what comes out on screen is an OK movie with two big stars. If you've seen every other Rudd movie, you won't mind this. This is really Tina Fey's shining moment in this movie as she is the focal point but you gotta love Rudd trying what he can in a movie like this. I chuckled a few times. This movie is probably 90% drama and 10% comedy. Bored? Eh, give it a watch I suppose.

I know that Tina Fey is new to the movie world but this fits her role because she is intelligent. Let's face it she's from New York, wears the glasses, knows how to deal with Alec Baldwin on a daily basis and conveys things without flipping out, besides as we have all seen in the trailers the moment in the movie where she speaks up to the opposition about where to take the nonsense (outside)? I love critiquing movies after I just saw them, like re-giving the treatment and comping one to the next reader. In this case I had a good time watching it and when the traumatic events led to the climax, I earnestly felt for each character. Paul Rudd is one of my favorite and just saw another movie with him. But for me, this time it was my girlfriend who wanted me to watch it for Tina Fey, and let's face it, this is HER movie. By far, one of Paul Rudd's slowest but then again sews his diversity into an intelligent world of those who follow Tina out East in the Big Apple.

Admission was rated rape-free by rapefreemovies. It does not include any mention, attempt or fact of sexual violence. Review: I wasn't expecting much from this comedy, but I was positively surprised in the end. Let's face it: there is nothing new there. Though the characters are true and attaching, and the story has some unexpected turns. This is the kind of movie you like because it just makes you feel so good, nice and positive! The movie also talks about education, and how today kids are formatted, and any kind of different intelligence underestimated, which I haven't seen often actually.

This movie has a lot going for it, especially with the cast. It's mildly humorous but the plot becomes too ridiculous for the end to be anything but disappointing.

In the first 15 minutes of the movie a character suggests that it would be a shame to named Saraswathi. Saraswathi is a common hindu name associated with knowledge and the hindu goddess of knowledge, music, and art. The lack of research and the overt ignorant remark should be unacceptable. Hollywood smarten up and writers do your research.

The fatal flaw of "Admission" is that Portia is portrayed as a self-absorbed, unlikable bitch though most of the movie. In fact, all of the main adult characters are so self-centered that it's hard to like any of them. The writer has tried to take a fairly ordinary story and season it with every herb of quirkiness she can sprinkle into the mix. The result is an odd mess and just falls flat at the end. The long, torturous scene with the admissions committee missed the rather obvious opportunity to reveal how you get into one of these Ivy League schools—a question asked over and over again in the film. It would have been a far more interesting to show the outrageous lengths parents and students will go to get into these schools. The writer could then have strung the audience along following the process for a couple of candidates, with the surprise reveal of the seemingly least likely, yet obvious in hindsight, winner.

Admission: Never watch a movie by seeing ratings reason is might b ur perception is different from others. Well i hvn't seen this movie cz of low ratings but now when i saw i liked it. Story of a gal who just won't do things cz she pretend to b happy n her life. The mere presence of Tina Fey and Paul Rudd would elevate most any script and movie. They are inherently likable and talented. So i will not regret i watched this film cz i watched many more movies which really sucks This movie shows when we did something terrible in life and we get chance to do it right....we tried our best and sometimes even more hard. It's not easy to understand young Bridget.
