The best thing about this series is that while watching at no point you can say,"this can't happen in real life". The relationship dynamics, business dynamics, tension between characters are all closer to reality. Nothing is toned down or exaggerated.
Watched this show after a colleague in office highly recommended it. I don't watch anything that is not on Netflix or Amazon Prime but I decided to watch the trailer before watching the show. I liked the trailer and then watched the show. I totally binge watched it into the night. The show is classy, the acting, music, writing and direction so well done it felt like an international Netflix show. The dialogues felt so real as though you were hearing your friends talk. The lead actors Akshay Oberoi and Karan Wahi were really good. I have never seen any of their work before but these actors were really good. The girls were good although the girl Minaz who played Karan Wahi's girlfriend felt a little raw, maybe it was her character I dont know. Even the supporting characters, like the funny Micky and the dangerous looking Lalit Piramal, the head of the association were very good. By the end of episode 10 I really felt bad for the main characters as I was totally invested in their journey. Overall, superb watch! I hope there is a Season 2 of this show.
I watched Bar Code only for Karan Wahi. I'm a huge fan of his work. I think he is an actor par excellence and deserves more web shows and movies. I think this angry, intense look really suits him, although he's quite goofy and fun in real life. Akshay Oberoi is also amazing. I have seen some of his other previous works like Gurgaon and Kaalakaandi. Both the lead actors have done a great job. The supporting actor who played Mickey was fun too. The pace and length of each episode make it binge-watch-worthy. The relationships and rivalry portrayed seemed quite realistic and organic. I wish there was season 2.
It was not bad at all , wish it would have been a bit more grippy and intense , all the lead cast have done a fine job especially Karan .
