A short 6 episode (so far) series produced by Tim Heidecker and Tom Allen, and starring the latter, Chad & JT Go Deep follows of course Chad (Allen) and JT (John Parr) two local California dudebro activists who represent skateboarders everywhere in this loosely plot driven public prank show. We follow the two and their friends as they try to promote causes they're proud of, often with silly public conversations and recorded talks at different local government meetings as pranks. As a whole, is quite funny for the type of humour it is, and the episodes are short and concise enough it doesn't wear out its welcome, I was laughing pretty much throughout. My favourite joke, upon seeing an open door: "Dude look, that doors ajar." "No, bro, that's just a door". I'd watch season 2.
So stoked on this show! I grew up in SoCal and these dudes are the embodiment of some of the people in my high school class. They use actual City council meetings to advocate for their causes. The coucil's reactions are priceless especially when the Newport Beach councilmenber tells him they have no jurisdiction over Santa Barbara or Isla Vista. Chad and J. T. are fearless, true social justice warriors and they will go all out to fight for a cause. This also shows Jesse Watters is the true shmole for many reasons but in this case because he has no sensitivity to people with small dongs. Now grab your boards and get in the oshe!
Anyone who dislikes this show is my beef of the week. Strider and the schmole on Netflix is all my dreams come true. Fighting for the right causes and boosting stoke while doing it too! Is there anything better?
I loved this series. The comedians/actors interwove real life with a hilarious, well crafted narrative. I was rooting for Chad and JT the whole time! I actually had to pause the show a few times because I was laughing so hard! The guru, small dong art gallery show, transitions to schmole, so many funny scenes it's hard to narrow it down! The supporting cast was also excellent; loved the narrator and JT's mom is a star. Each episode got better and better and I will rewatch just to get more of the details. Overall the vibe of the show is super positive and heartfelt. Hard not to love Chad and JT! I can't wait for the next installment.
This show is great to start off. It has the type of humor that will turn your day around if it aint all there. Chad and JT are the duo we need and hope to have them for a second season. I have been listening to going deep podcast for around 3 years now and these guys always bring the heat. Loved to see strider and the shmole in the show as well. Get through the first episode and the episodes in my opinion get progressively more hilarious. The interactions also get funnier and the story is well crafted for what the show provides. Hoping that netflix see the light in this and that it may become a stoner/stoker classic.
It's mostly two likeable dudes clowning around together. I like that it's just innocent, deadpan, dumb fun. Made me feel good while watching it. First episode was a bit weaker but the other episodes are a good time.
Chad and JT are the perfect duo to help raise stoke for So. Cal. The witty banter between the two of them and people on the streets gave me nonstop laughter. Strider Wilson is the guiding voice over the Chad and JT as they navigate there way to being uncanceled. Their approach of going to city council meeting is unique and hilarious. It is truly a collection of their hard work over the years. They took silly really seriously and it works. I would recommend this show to anyone who likes to laugh, talk about dongs, and get stoked. If you are on the fence you should watch this show and get stoked! 10/10.
Gold! Chad, JT, Strider and Shmole setting the levels with this series. Can't wait for what's next. Great introduction to the crew, ragers, raising awareness and overall stoke levels.
JT and Chad made me laugh and feel good for a while. Whether they're "what up"ing councils, hanging with world famous djs, or exposing their buttholes to the sky, they always come off as wholesome. The world is falling apart, but somehow JT and Chads goofy advocacy makes it feel like things might be okay. Also every time JT looks at the camera with a comletely slack face, I lost it. His dad seems chill af, maybe that's where he got his stoke from. Would recommend to anyone looking to raise their level of stoke in these troubled times. Would also recommend for people who love a tight feiend.
This show is actually kinda sick. It's pretty funny. Episodes are short but sweet. For Fans of Nathan For You / American Vandal/ This Is America / The Rehearsal.
