Dumb and Dumber

I don't want to be too damning of Dumb and Dumber because although it just wasn't my sort of humour, I can imagine others enjoying it. There were some occasional amusing jokes and word play but, for me, far more cringeworthy sight gags, set pieces and obvious over acting. The story is also a little undercooked which doesn't help. I feel that had I seen this movie twenty years ago I may have some nostalgic enjoyment. The soundtrack is admittedly great.

Low brow stoner material. Apparently the definition of the word comedy has changed since this movie was released. And for the worse. I did not laugh one single time. I can sense that at one point in my life, many years ago, I would have enjoyed this.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed this movie as much as the next guy, but you got to admit that the technical aspects of this film are just not there. If you are a fan of these guys humor, and by some odd chance you have not seen this movie, then by all means buy it. It is guaranteed that you will like the film. 6/10
