The description synopsis is quite exactly how the film is. There isn't exactly any twists or turns. Everything which occurs is quite predictable and obvious. The acting is solid yet at times the actors seemed bored. Nothing much happens besides several explicit scenes followed by a lot of talk and dialogue. Although the central description is regarding the taboo siblings and them keeping things a secret. The film is also about the oldest brother getting married as we see the planning and everything involved with the wedding. Once the major reveal in the end occurs, the film stalls and ends quite abruptly and sort of open ended. It's a decent simple film to pass the time.
Long unnecessary shots, panning slowly in and out, dialogue that is unneessary and superfluous. Instead of focusing on the twins and how everything happened, the director instead emphasises people looking at themselves in the mirror and the most randomest of things. Ending was questionable and open ended, which is a cop out. After the mother finding out - scene well executed - is the end the film. However - does she stop it? Who knows? Do they feel bad about it and stop it themselves? All the interesting questions are unanswered, just lots of scenes showing them having sex, which is the least interesting thing about the taboo itself. Its still watchable though, so I rated it slightly below average.
This was the most disturbing movie I've seen in a long time. I started watching it just before going to bed, with no intention to actually stay up and finish it, but once it started, I simply couldn't stop watching. It completely captured my attention, which happens very very rarely as of late, so all my compliments to the director. This is one of those movies that most people will not appreciate because of it's subject, which is a social taboo. And it's understandable. However, if you are able to appreciate a good story with an upsetting content that is not meant to entertain you, and will probably shake you up, you should give it a chance.
