LBS Enterprise for Schools is an engaging, informative and inspirational day of innovation for Year 10 students. The one-day event, now an annual fixture after its successful launch in 2017, features workshops and activities to inspire students from local schools to develop an idea for a new app. Students spend the day learning about developing a new business concept, branding it, pitching successfully to a panel of judges and taking the idea to market. They hear from alumni and faculty who discuss elevator pitches and provide business insights respectively. The students also explore problem solving, self-development and how to hone soft skills. Solve a problem you care about, build something that will make you happy and don’t feel you have to make every big life decision while you’re young. That was Nikki Gupta’s advice at LBS Enterprise for Schools 2018. The entrepreneur spoke during a day of workshops and presentations at London Business School, for pupils aged 14 to 15 from five London schools. She and LBS alumnus Charles Dupont MiM2011 co-founded MarkIt, an online resource that tests and teaches problem solving effectively. Visit for further information on LBS Enterprise for Schools. The Youth Enrichment Programme is a London Business School initiative enabled by social enterprise, Step Into My Shoes. It connects state-secondary-school students to its world-class faculty via a series of guru lectures. These expose students to thinking on topics that typically fall outside the school curriculum, equipping them with skills that will serve them throughout their lives and inspire them to reach their full potential – whatever their chosen career path.
