If you look at many of the most successful fighters, cutting a lot of weight makes a lot of sense. That's why a lot of fighters like Khabib Nurmagomedov cut down as much as they do, it helps provide a physical advantage which in turn allows them to impose their will upon others. But is there an advantage in not cutting as much weight? Like Cody Garbrandt who on Joe Rogan's podcast recently stated that he did not cut any weight when fighting in his division.
