The movie has perfect pace, well kept to the point, crime scenes are really well shown, pretty REAL, some may find it disturbing though,** Acting, by Vishal Jethwa and Rani Muherjee is BRILLIANT,..!! Will keep you involved,..!! Go for it,.. Don't take KIDS along,..!!

This film only has a good message, but at the same time this movie comprises a series of bad dialogues and shows a shallow direction with irrelevant screenplay. The new villan, (Vishal Jethwa) acted good but was dragged back by the poor written dialogues and direction.Rani Mukherjee runs ahead of her dialogues all the time and it looks like a +3 sec audio syn like acting. Rated 10 for social message Rated 1 for film making

In 2012, a 23 year old girl was raped and brutually assaulted in a moving bus in Delhi. In 2014 Badaun gang rape case sent panick waves across the country where two Dalit girls were gang raped continuously for two days, murdered and hung from a tree. In 2019, a female doctor was abducted from a toll plaza near Hyderabad raped and later her body was burnt. These few incidents have rocked the entire nation with widespread protest since government came under pressure, highlighted by media and I am just talking few here.. there are have been innumerable rape cases which have even gone unreported. We always wonder what goes into the mind of a rapist and this where Mardaani 2 comes into play. Mardaani 2 is a cat-and-mouse game where a ruthless rapist and killer challenges Shivani Shivaji Roy to catch him after every murder and even gives her the clue on his next move From the writer of Mardaani, Gopi Puhtran takes the director's seat this time. Like Mardaani which focussed on the drug racket and child trafficking, Mardaani 2 tells the true story of rape incidents which is very much existing in India. Hats off to him for creating niche drama with well-written screenplay that will keep glued on to the screen till the end. Cinematography is just about okay. Art direction is natural. Background score is bad which could have been better Writing was definitely better but I felt the character of Rani Mukerji was somehow always proactive in reading criminal's mind. Editing adds crispiness to the pace. Mardaani belongs to queen of hearts - Rani Mukerji. The supremely talented actress is mind blowing with her punches and fiery dialogues. Vishal Jethwa will surprise you as the psychopath killer who thinks a woman should be shown no mercy when they cross their limit. He is definitely a talent to watch out for. Mardaani 2 is not easy watch but it will expose the harsh reality of the current situation with a strong message. Go for it ... Very good 3.5/5

Movie is only focussing on villian. He does his jobs very easily and we can see Mardani is helpless, clue less and unable to capture him till last frame of the movie. This is biggest fall. It could have been interesting if Mardani show s her talent and skills throughout the movie. Movie should be not to show only bad side of current situation but it need to show brighter side also. We go to movie for entertainment not to take extra burden of rapes or murders. For this TV channels and newspapers are sufficient. Mardani only creates havoc of a psycho killer and nothing more than. Many veiwers do not agree with me but it is my opinion and from this view of point movie worth only for 2 stars as me. Avoid it if you can.
