Rainbow Rishta" is a heartfelt and vibrant portrayal of queer lives in India, streaming on Prime Video. It's a series that feels particularly important, offering a burst of experiences that resonate deeply with the LGBTQIA+ community. The directors, Jaydeep Sarkar, Hridaye Nagpal and Shubra Chatterji, have done a commendable job in crafting a narrative that's both intimate and universal. The show navigates through various cities and personal journeys, celebrating the joy, love, and challenges faced by queer individuals. It's a beautiful reminder of the power of acceptance and the strength found in community and solidarity. "Rainbow Rishta" is not just entertainment; it's a crucial window into lives that are often unseen or misunderstood. A heartfelt thank you to the creators for giving a voice to these stories and for creating a show that's a beacon of hope and representation for young queer individuals like myself.
Overall all the stories were sweet and the message each story wanted to give was very clear. But if the target audience is old people whom you really want to give this message then the conversations should have been in Hindi rather than all the convos stories and entire episodes entirely in English. People feel more connected when its Hindi. Generation x, y everybody would connect but maybe not parents who are before 90s period. I was looking for common stories or maybe more relealistic but some were too made up or too glamourous. One time watch. One would feel connected maybe if language barrier is not there. We would watch hollywood series if want to see everything in english.
