Doug talks about growing up as a wrestling fan in Oklahoma, breaking into the business after high school, and learning just how rough training really was once he started running the ropes and taking bumps. He discusses being smartened up by Mike George and Tommy Gilbert, then making his way into the business through Texas, including trips to the legendary Sportatorium, where the building was either freezing cold or blazing hot and the working conditions were anything but glamorous.
