Developed by Capcom who were riding high with the success of Street Fighter II and it's multiple updates, Slam Masters looked like a fighting game mixed with Pro Wrestling action. The English localization of the games took a lot of liberties, names were changed, character origin stories were altered, and these changes would also make their way to the home console versions of the game along with the game's official arcade sequel; Ring of Destruction.
