I'm sorry, but if you rated this less than a 7 you have no kind of sense of humor...I laughed from the beginning till the end...it's definitely more than worth a watch if your a fan of k drama whether serious or funny...characters were quirky and the chemistry was great...I'd definitely watch it again once I'm done catching up with other shows on my list...as I stated before if you like Korean shows or even if you find yourself needing a good laugh I definitely recommend this one it's almost like a Asian oceans 11 but more quirky an funny would luv for there to be a second movie from how it ended.
Needless to say that I hadn't even heard about this 2022 Thai crime comedy titled "The Lost Lotteries" prior to stumbling upon it while perusing the Asian catalogue on Netflix. And with it being an asian comedy that I hadn't already seen, of course I opted to do so. Writers Ekachai Uekrongtham and Prueksa Amaruji put together a script for the movie that sort of fell short of entertaining me. Sure, there were elements in the narrative that was enjoyable, but as a whole then "The Lost Lotteries" just felt like a swing and a miss. The movie didn't bring about much of any laughs, maybe a smirk or two here and there, so it wasn't an effective comedy. And I have to admit that the storyline itself felt somewhat pointless and also superficial. You don't really get to delve into anything here and get to properly know the characters. Once the movie came to an end, I must admit that I didn't even know the names of half of the characters in the movie. The acting performances in "The Lost Lotteries" were fair enough. I wasn't familiar with anyone on the cast list here, but the actors and actresses were doing good enough jobs with the limitations imposed on them by a subpar script. For a Thai comedy then director Prueksa Amaruji failed to stand out among so many comedies on the market. This is not a Thai comedy that I would recommend for fans of the Asian comedy genre. My rating of "The Lost Lotteries" lands on a more than generous four out of ten stars.
The plot for this film was pretty interesting. Six people that dont really know eachother band together to steal back some winning lottery tickets from the mafia. Iv'e never seen any of the asian comedys on netflix so this was something new for me. The cast were interesting to see and I felt they all played their roles well. Sure the movie was not overly funny, but it had elements here and there that gandered a couple of laughs out of me. I feel like a similer plot could be done again but in a different setting. Maybe not necessarily a comedy but more of something serious. Overall this was a pretty good movie with a fun cast and a decent amount of laughs.
