Usyk's footwork is favoured to mobility, on the balls of his feet and looking to make the most of his southpaw style by constantly forcing orthodox opponents to reset in the face of his constant re-positioning. Usyk's guard remains high, especially his lead hand. This enables him to use reactive blocks to incoming punches. On top of this he applies really good pressure with an excellent jab and lots of feints. Finally, Usyk is all about long range effectiveness. His best game is keeping opponents at range, using strong straight shots coupled with excellent movement and long range hooks to really break opponents down.
