So guys we have just seen a very young Isaac Pitbull Cruz from Mexico take out Jose Felix, also from Mexico in an 8-round non-title fight. You could see the transition that the shorter Cruz had to make between patiently stalking and probing his opponent and once the opportunity presented itself he pounced into action and became tenacious to secure the knockout victory. Over the more recent years, Cruz has settled into the lower weight class of Lightweight where he was holding the WBC silver lightweight title. Over the weekend, Isaac Cruz moved back up to the Super lightweight class and successfully challenged the WBA Super lightweight champion Rolando Romero. Cruz got a TKO victory to become the new WBA champion. He displayed the same measured aggression in this fight as he did in the Felix fight. All I can ask is what is next for Isaac Cruz. He does not look like the boxer that wants to waste time. But on the other hand, his management might get him to see the business side of things and secure a few moderate-level payday fights before taking on a risky challenge. Now his biggest fights are against the other champions, So Subriel Mattias holding the IBF belt, Teofimo Lopez with the WBO title and Devin Haney holding the WBC belt.
