The Funky Chicken, also known as The Stanky Leg, happens when a boxer loses control of their legs. The punch causes an involuntary Chicken Dance. The attempt by the boxer to keep control of their legs doesn't work because the punch has shut down their nervous system. Due to the potential damage to the nervous system, a Chicken Dance should be taken seriously. If it's a world title fight or a fight with big implications, maybe the referee can be lenient but this is a very serious situation and the referee should seriously consider stopping the fight to prevent further damage.
