— Coach Abbi Pontes nailed her name in the history of the sport of Jiu-Jitsu by accomplishing her dream of becoming an @ibjjf world champion, at the age of 20 years old in the brown belt, light-feather weight division. — Abbi also completed the championship season ranked number 1 in the world for the third year in a row. She first achieved this ranking in 2021 as a purple belt, and again in 2022 and 2023 as a brown belt. — Abbi has developed an extensive amount of knowledge about how to become a champion not only on the mats but also in life. All of the hard work, dedication, and growth required to reach her goals in jiu-jitsu helped her to progress and mature outside of the mats as well. Because of her progress in jiu-jitsu and as a person she was able to achieve the rank of black belt. — I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who is part of the TAP family. We are blessed to have a community that is dedicated to helping one another every day. Many people worked alongside us to help us make our dreams come true, whether on or off the mat.
