Love this latest book in Charles and Anna's lives. Very moving storyline. Love Briggs/Graham combo!
Would you try another book from Patricia Briggs and/or Holter Graham?I love every Patricia Briggs Book I have listened to or read for myself. This Narrator was wobbly and lacked passion.I feel like he tried too hard to sound dark and WISE with many of the characters.Charles specifically. It made some scenes difficult to appreciateWhat did you like best about this story? The new direction Charles and Anna took more personal and passionateHow could the performance have been better?A different narrator or this one working toward a more relaxed approach to the reading
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why? No.Who was your favorite character and why?It is a tie between Anna and Charles--I love the way they tease each other.Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Holter Graham? This story needs George Guidall, the Longmire series narrator.Mr. Guidall gets inflection right when doing stoic, dry Native American humor and wry Cowboy humor; he also know how to make children sound young, and gives them individual voices.Mr. Graham sounds like he's out of breath and whispering when reading the Native American characters and his phrasing is halting. His children's voices are nasal and irritating. Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?no.Any additional comments?I won't be buying any more Alpha and Omega books narrated by Mr. Graham.I do not want to finish listening to this book.I think I will buy the kindle version and just pretend I am listening to George Guidall narrating the story.
The story line is great as all the others. The reader really needs to be able to change his voice for different characters. He has a male voice and a female voice and that's it.
The narrators voice was too nasal when he was speaking in other character's. I love her swriting so I tried to ignore my annoyance at the voice.
The book is really entertaining. All of Patricia Briggs' books are. It occasionally strays into 12-year-old-horse-crazy-girl-fanfiction but I found it more interesting than off putting. You can hear the narrator taking sips and gulping it down though. It's hard to be really engrossed in a story when every few minutes you hear him take a swig. Now THAT is off putting.
This continuation of Patricia Brigg's Series is excellent, as are all the others.Love her writing style, her story telling and her imagination.Patricia's continued development of Anna and Charles characters and relationship is awesome.Feel like I'm right there with them.Great book again.Thanks.
I have listened to all of the series starting with Alpha and Omega and have enjoyed all. This one however, was so hard to listen to. What is wrong with Holter Graham? He should have listened to his previous versions because he sounded so off. The voice he used for Charles did not sound like what he's done in the past. He didn't have the deep voice that is so Charles. So it kinda killed it for me. Too bad because the story was so interesting and went into Charles's past.
in the previous books I thought the character voices were spot on. in this once not so much. short of giving a spoilers, I think that needs to be better Ithe next book.
