Learning the alphabet is critical to literacy. The letters of the alphabet are the building blocks of language. Mastering the ABCs early in life helps develop love for reading. Love for reading, in turn, encourages love for learning. Mastering the alphabet begins with recognizing the letters, knowing the sound of each letter, and then learning how to write each letter properly. In this series, I teach young learners the alphabet by introducing each letter through clear visual, aural and tactile activities. I’m approaching the alphabet series one letter at a time.
