I really enjoyed it. Especially my 3 year old. We really liked the funky jazz music with a touch of jungle beat. Then, on the credits, it had a great remix. Awesome. I really laughed at Lucky, the condor, who was teasing Shear Khan the tiger. It wasn't bad at all, in fact it was well worth the money. My daughter certainly liked it. It wasn't as comical as the first movie, but very entertaining, when it comes to drama and musical performances. Who ever wrote the music score on this one is very talented. It did, however have some funny moments, like Kaa the snake, and when Baloo was running from his friend the panther, trying to get back to the village and see Mowgli. John Goodman is very talented. When I found out that Phil Collins did the voice of Lucky, the condor, I laughed even harder. He did a good job. Those condor characters are SO hilarious. I recommend it to anyone looking for a laugh and some good entertaining music.
Hi all, I saw this film with my friends(aged 3-10). They all got excitement whenever the Ranjan character comes into the picture. I like his background voice. It's too nice.... All the children appreciated and they enjoyed lot with that character..... I wish you to perform well in your future movies.... Thanks again Mr. Ranjan.......we all are waiting for your next movie. If it is there anything kindly let me know. I like the character(Shanthi), it's a positive character for this cartoon movie. Here the guy's are started to sing the "Jungle Rhythm" song. It's glad to see that for me. Because previously they will not sing even their subject "Rhymes". Now this song made them to get interested to read those Rhymes. Thanks again for all who developed this cartoon movie especially for Ranjan.
This movie doesn't impress me as a sequel at all. The Jungle Book 2 lacks most of what the original movie contains. That includes charm, catchiness, appeal, and "Disney magic". The story isn't open-minded nor intelligent. It's easily predictable. While the animation and voice acting was exceptionally decent, these won't save the unlikable plot lines and the un-listenable music of this movie. If you think about watching this Disney sequel, think again. This movie deserves to not be made at all because there is no point or reason for it to be made except for profit. This sequel is overall dreadful.
On a scale from 0 to 10 this would be 1 because I enjoyed the new main theme. Aside from that it is repetitive, a project with no soul just to grant easy money. The animation is done well and most of the old carachters appear more as a tribute to the original film then for actual narrative needs. Very odd the pack is not mentioned not displayed and Bagheera has a very marginal role as a troublemaker. It marks a clean break from the intent of chosing one of the two worlds and solves it by having jungle animals and kids meeting on a daily basis to play (utterly ridiculous development spoiling the morals of thr first installment). Lastly, Shanti's carachter (the fetching-water girl) is so irritating that I would rather have left her to the imagination as after the first film. Save yourself time and leave this unwanted sequel where it is
I watched this film expecting to see KING LOUIE but he was nowhere to be seen. Disney really messed up not including my favorite character of the the jungle book. It coulda been handled better.
I always liked this when I was a kid and as someone who grew up with both this and the original Jungle Book, I was 2 when this came out, I can say that while the original had a few more memorable songs I actually always preferred this film, the new characters where fun and memorable, I'm still nostalgic over one of the songs, the opening always seemed exiting to me when I was little, and the visuals where better than the original in my opinion, so I'm sure that kids would still enjoy this movie even if it's not a masterpiece. It also builds up the character of the originally unnamed girl-who shows up at the end of the original to sing about her future of being a domesticated house wife while her husband hunts and then flirts with Mowgli- into being quite a well rounded example of positive female representation in a film that appeals to kids of any gender.
