How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?Maybe a different narrator who didn't sound as stuck-up and unemotional. What three words best describe Sam Harris’s voice?Pompous, cavalier, and aloof.If this book were a movie would you go see it? No.Any additional comments?The content is good, but I had a lot of trouble with his tone. I found myself feeling on guard, like I had to prove to him that I wasn't simple and actually understood what he was saying. Remember Professor Gerald Lambeau from Good Will Hunting? He was a man obsessed with his own genius, but even he had more heart than Harris displays. I think it would do this audiobook some good to have someone more along the lines of Dr. Sean Maguire (Williams' character in Good Will Hunting) narrate it.

Ugh, I don't know why I punished myself by listening to as much of this as I did.Book is 99% attack on organized religion .000001% guide to secular meditation.The rest is punctuation and redundant self-celebration at the authors personal achievements in enduring long periods of meditative silence. if you value your happiness, be it secular, religious or whatever stay away, FAR AWAY, from this book.Go for a walk or listen to nice music instead.It would doubtlessly be a better guide to secular spirituality. Ugh.

Very few.Any additional comments?Was just too wordy and the author seems to be more interested in persuading you to give up religious spirituality and learn to meditate.Was not at all what I expected.

Frankly the book is boring,not read well, and lacks any real point or purpose. "Be an atheist, religion is irrational ", ok gotcha."Spirituality is good", awesome. "You can have a spiritual life without religion ", I can get to that, but how? "Meditate", hmmm Okay, how?... "Religion is bad"... ಠ_ಠ There's nothing really useful in the book save two analogies on meditation and losing the self(ego). That's it. There, I've saved you an audible credit, you're welcome.
