He portrayed Mortis in WCW, a character and gimmick that was a prime of example of WCW trying to captilize on pop culture. Kanyon also found some success while feuding with Raven and his flock in WCW, eventually becoming a team mate of Raven. When the WWE purchased WCW, Kanyon made his way over to Vince McMahon's company and became part of the Invasion storyline.
