In a thrilling rain-affected 11-over encounter, Rajasthan Royals delivered a complete all-round performance to defeat Mumbai Indians by 27 runs. Batting first, Rajasthan Royals came out with an aggressive mindset and dominated the powerplay right from the start. Their batters played fearless cricket, finding boundaries consistently and smashing a total of 150/3 in just 11 overs, which is an exceptional score in a shortened T20 game. The highlight of their innings was their clean hitting, as RR managed to hit 6 massive sixes, putting immense pressure on the Mumbai bowling attack. As pointed out by Vikrant Gupta, Rajasthan Royals looked extremely strong during the powerplay, where they built the foundation for a big total with explosive batting. Mumbai Indians’ bowlers struggled throughout the innings, conceding too many runs and failing to control the flow of the game. Their inability to execute proper bowling plans proved costly in such a short format match where every ball matters. While chasing 150 in just 11 overs, Mumbai Indians needed a strong and aggressive start, but things did not go according to plan. Rajasthan Royals’ bowlers came back strongly and completely dominated the second innings. They maintained tight lines and lengths, picked up wickets at regular intervals, and never allowed Mumbai’s batters to settle. As a result, Mumbai Indians could only manage 123/9, falling well short of the target. They also struggled with their hitting, managing only 4 sixes compared to Rajasthan’s 6, which clearly shows the difference in intent and execution between the two sides. According to Rahul Rawat, one of the biggest reasons behind Mumbai Indians’ defeat was their poor bowling performance, which allowed Rajasthan Royals to post such a huge total. Additionally, their batting lacked the aggression and consistency required to chase a high score in a reduced-over game. This loss marks Mumbai Indians’ second consecutive defeat, having already lost to Delhi in their previous match, raising serious concerns about
