So although yes there's some slight hokey actors and maybe a little predictably at times I thought considering it's tv movie that's mainly meant for Christmas/more female audience, it wasn't a bad way to pass the time...It was sweet, good ending, non offensive, and basically your general tv Christmas movie. There were some humorous moments and like said perfect for a feel good chick flick happy ever after.
Tara Reid is not mother material never mind queen material. She's more like a bar fly or trailer trash. The plot is totally unoriginal. You claim to be a writer, use your brain and come up with your own story, don't copy someone else's!

What was up for her posture, and her finger? Can't act!
As some have said, the acting is awful!! Tara has forgot how to act since doing those sharknado movies!! The story has been done before as on said before, What A Girl Wants!! This doesn't even feel like a Christmas movie!! It's like they started making a "romance" movie & then decided to throw in a Christmas ball at the end!! We love Christmas movies, but this was just awful!! Do yourself a favor & skip this one!! Give you an example of why to skip this. The king is trying to skip out of his room & gets his "guards" to start watching our football & these guys stop paying attention to the king & watch the awful attempt at a football game!! The king gets away easy!! It's just stupid!!
The best thing about this movie was the King's blue eyes. Tara Reid, do something about your posture.
A king from a minor Central European country comes to California to look up an old flame. Could have been cute but the dialogue is stilted and the acting is stiff. Tara Reid's eyes look strange. But she needs lessons on how to deliver dialogue. Ingo Rademacher tries dignified but comes across as stiff. His eyes look strange too. The story reminds a bit of the Amanda Byrnes comedy What a Girl Wants. There is a teenage daughter of the woman so we're dealing with a more middle aged second time round romance instead of the young naive girl and prince thing. A change for the better is the royals don't try to do bad British accents. They try some pseudo Central European thing. The love child thing also echoes Monaco and the Prince Albert love child thing. Not worth watching.
I had to give up twenty five minutes into the movie due to choppy visual despite the color print more accurate than in some past Ion Christmas movies. Too many sharp cuts in the editing make the visual to me almost unwatchable and ditto with the soundtrack. Nothing in under the first half hour for me to even consider watching more on the first run. I recall once waiting for my movie to start in a New England multiplex when three people walked out of an auditorium after a showing of a film each demanding a refund. I somehow or other got this aura from less tha the first half hour of this film. Should anyone think the rest is an improvement perhaps I will consider watching the rest because I have not yet deleted the DVR recording.
