يقرر (باري) القناص المأجور الذهاب إلى مدينة لوس أنجلوس، من أجل تنفيذ مهمة قتل ممثل مسرحي أثناء عرض جمهوري، ولكنه يقابل فتاة تدعى (سالي) تغير حياته، وتجعله يرغب في بداية جديدة، ولكن ماضيه السابق لن يتركه.
